Hello! I'm still figuring out the formatting here, but I did manage to get the twitter and facebook links working. In fact, all the links should be working at this point. Explore and enjoy :).

MOVING

As you may have noticed, I've been absent for a while.  That is because a story I wrote has been picked up by a publisher!  I'm very excited about this, but it is also absorbing the little free time I have.  I don't have time for Doodling in Class and author type things, so here's my compromise.  I need an author website and on that website I also have a blog.  I will be posting pictures and, occasionally, comics there as well.  I hope to come back to Doodling in Class in the future, but right now I need to focus on writing.  If you still want to follow my blog please head over to mary-harner.squarespace.com or go directly to the blog page here.

Sorry for the inconvenience, here's a consolation puppy and kitty!

Something Different

This is something a little different from usual.  I've due to an excess of both actual work and self imposed work I haven't had a lot of time to work on comics.  I do have two half finished comics, but I'm not really feeling either of them.  Instead I ended up illustrating a scene from a story I'm writing.  I think it came out pretty well.

Parking at School

After circling the parking lot for twenty minutes before giving up and parking in the far lot I realized there are these three types of people in the school parking lot.

A Sh*t Situation

I absolutely hate when I'm settling in for a good poo and discover I left my phone in my office.  I'm sure someone must share my frustration.

I am Malala (a spoiler free review)

So it looks like one a week is going to be the only sustainable update schedule for me.  I'll try to make them longer.  I'm trying for the 50 book challenge again this year (last year I only read 12, should be an easy personal best to beat).  The first book I read was I am Malala by Malala Yousafzai and it was great!  A long read for a challenge that's all about quantity over quality, but a good book!

Sorry!

I am still behind!  I have really slow internet right now, and I'm not even sure this one will post right.
